Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, December 19, at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home with Gary Alton officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield. Friends may call 11 a.m. Friday until time of service at the funeral home.

Mass will be noon Saturday, Dec. 20, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 38 North College St., Athens. A celebration of life will be held March 28, 2026.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home in Athens. A graveside service will follow at West Union St. Cemetery with Rev. Phil Ridenour officiating. 

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home. The memorial service will take place at Central Avenue United Methodist Church, 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 and will be followed by a processional to the New Marshfield cemetery.

The family has asked that memorial gifts be made in Denny’s honor to The Alumni and Friends of the “The Denny Award,” an annual student scholarship.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call the church beginning at 10 a.m.. Tuesday.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Visiting hours will be held 1–3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home. A remembrance get-together will occur at Mike’s favorite spot, West End Ciderhouse in Athens, at a later date.
